PIXEL, the flexible module for designing multifunctional furniture settings by Bene, received the Gold iF Design Award on Friday, 9 March 2018. Following the RF wall in 2008 and TIMBA table in 2015, Bene has now received this prestigious award for the third time. The latest product line – STUDIO by Bene – was also a winner at the iF Design Awards. These design awards once again highlight the excellent design quality of Bene products.
Following numerous awards in 2017, the shower of accolades shows no sign of stopping in 2018. During the iF DESIGN AWARD night at BMW Welt in Munich, the international office furniture specialist was honoured last week with the internationally renowned iF Design AWARD.
From around 6,400 submissions from 54 countries, about 60 notable design experts selected the award winners based on specified criteria. Bene captivated this independent, international jury of experts and received the iF Design Award in gold for its innovative PIXEL product line. The most recent workplace system from Bene’s design studio, STUDIO by Bene, was also honoured and now carries the coveted quality label “iF DESIGN AWARD”. "Radically different, ingeniously designed and easy to handle – that's the Pixel modular system made of untreated wooden boxes with exchangeable lid elements. This modular furniture design is absolutely ideal for start-ups and young companies” is how the jury explained its decision to give PIXEL the Gold award.
With PIXEL, Bene has created a flexible module that offers myriad options for room design and opens up a whole new range of possibilities for team work. PIXEL – boxes made of unprocessed pine plywood – consists of modules which can be easily transformed into a table, a bench, a stool, or even a platform for an audience to sit on.
